Lisa Caplan expresses her perception of the power and beauty of the elements of nature through art. Early training in figurative drawing and sculpture combined with advanced training in landscape architecture informs her innate curiosity about living form and the architecture of nature. Caplan’s portfolio includes a range of work: abstract painting, landscape painting, figurative work, video installation and digital fabrication.

Lisa Caplan earned a Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Boston University. Caplan’s work is collected and exhibited across the globe, and notably featured in major motion pictures by Universal Studios; and included in the permanent collection of the United Nations in New York. Lisa currently lives in Aspen, Colorado where she practices landscape architecture and continues to explore and find profound inspiration for her art from the surrounding landscape.
